This curriculum is designed to support healthcare providers in delivering inclusive, patient-centred care to 2SLGBTQI individuals and their families throughout the donation and transplantation journey.

Module 1 introduces foundational terminology and concepts related to identities within 2SLGBTQI communities, including guidance on pronoun use and respectful, inclusive language.

Module 2 builds on this knowledge and explores the principles of allyship, as well as advocacy at the individual, interpersonal, and institutional levels.

Modules 3 to 5 focuses on practice-based learning across key areas of deceased donation, living donation, and transplantation. Each module features realistic scenarios using composite characters informed by real experiences shared by members of 2SLGBTQI communities.

Together, these modules aim to enhance healthcare providers’ understanding and confidence in supporting 2SLGBTQI patients and families with compassion and respect.
